This page sets of the terms and conditions for use of the Mail for Boaters service offered by Holidays Afloat Ltd (Talbot Wharf)

The service

A mail collection and forwarding service for private individuals to a c/o correspondence address.

Mail is taken to mean items which can be delivered to the address supplied as part of the service.

Items may be delivered by Royal Mail and other couriers/carriers.

Our normal hours of service are 9:30 -5:00 Monday to Friday and 9:30 to 1:00 Saturdays
We are closed Sundays and Bank Holidays
 
When possible, we will make every effort to notify other closures in advance e.g for holidays or for other reasons, on our website at talbotwharf.co.uk/store-opening. 

Non-delivery

Please ensure couriers and carriers are aware of our normal opening hours to avoid delays or non-delivery. 
 

Forwarding service

We forward mail using Royal Mail. We send mail Monday-Friday during normal Post Office opening hours.

Maximum weight is 2kg, maximum package size is 45x35x16 (Royal Mail small parcel)

We use a standard non-tracked service for mail within the UK and worldwide.
We will quote for forwarding mail at the time of posting.  Additional charges apply for tracked services or express service.
 
We will notify you of the date of posting. If you choose a tracked or express service we will inform you of the Tracking Number.

Forwarding address

Your contract with us includes one forwarding address only.
UK forwarding addresses must include full postal address including postcode. 
Overseas forwarding addresses must include Zip code or postal code 
Changes to your forwarding address can be made at any time. You will need your customer number to make address changes. 
You must give us a working email address. You must inform us if your email address changes. 

Forwarding frequency

Mail is forwarded on request.

Service cancellation

You can cancel your contract with us at any time by notifying us in writing (letter or email). We will not accept mail received after the cancellation date.
We expect you to use the service in an honest and open way. 
The service may not be used as a business address, residential address or company address.
 
Post received for individuals not in a contract will be returned to sender.
 
We reserve the right to refuse to accept items of mail that contain valuables or items prohibited by the Royal Mail as set out at PostOffice.co.uk
 
You use our post handing service at your own risk. We will take reasonable care of your post, but cannot be responsible for loss or damage to your post in circumstances beyond our control. 
Once your items have been handed into the care of the Post Office, ParcelForce or Royal Mail, our responsibility for them ends.
 
We reserve the right to cancel your contract with us where we have reason to believe you are in breach of these conditions.
If we terminate the service we will refund the unused part of your subscription.
